LONDON, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.30 percent, or 21.88 points, to close at 7,411.34 points.
EasyJet, the major British budget airline, soared 5.09 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. NMC Health and Imperial Brands increased by 4.29 percent and 3.40 percent, respectively.
The British support services company Babcock International Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 6.76 percent.
The international private hospital group Mediclinic International dropped 5.76 percent. Intertek Group, the multinational inspection, product testing and certification company, fell 4.26 percent.
