WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Police at the Brandeis University in northeastern U.S. said early Tuesday an armed robbery took place on campus earlier, but led to no injury.
The robbery took place in the university "some time ago," and no injury was reported, Brandeis University police patrolman Dustin Botelho said.
The police also said there was no active shooting situation on campus, contrary to previous reports, which brought about the university's shelter-in-place order.
The campus will remain in lock, Botelho said.
Unconfirmed reports said the armed robbery involved a drug deal.
Brandeis University, located in the suburbs of Boston, tweeted late Monday that "armed subject on campus" and asked students to take shelters indoors and stay quiet.
