SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Price for goods and services among South Korean suppliers rose for four straight months on expensive crude oil, central bank data showed Monday.

The producer price index (PPI) stood at 103.01 in October, slightly up from 103.00 in the previous month, according to the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The figure rose for the fourth consecutive month, marking the highest in 34 months as higher crude oil prices lifted those for relevant oil products.

Industrial goods prices gained 0.5 percent in October from the previous month as the oil product index advanced 2.3 percent. The primary metal prices climbed 2.4 percent amid higher raw material prices.

Farm goods prices tumbled 13.8 percent on a monthly basis last month, posting the biggest monthly fall since the bank began compiling the data in 1965. Prices for napa cabbage plunged 58.8 percent ahead of the Kimchi-making season for the winter.

Services prices inched up 0.1 percent in October from the previous month.

From a year earlier, the PPI advanced 3.5 percent in October, keeping an upward trend for 12 months in a row.
