Serbian champions Red Star outplayed by Russian CSKA

BELGRADE, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Russian CSKA convincingly defeated Red Star 85-59 on Wednesday in the 7th round of the regular season of the basketball Euroleague.

From the beginning of the match played in front of 13,500 mostly home fans, Kyle Hines started creating trouble for the Serbian team with his precise field goals and free throws, while Sergio Rodriguez contributed with assists.

CSKA opened the second half with a 9-0 run, sealing its triumph long before the end of the match.

The team from Moscow has achieved a 12-point lead after the first quarter, which it expanded to 44-27 before the break.

Most efficient in the Russian team were Nando De Colo with 16 points, Hines with 13, Cory Higgins 12 and Rodriguez 11 points and 9 assists.

Taylor Rochestie scored most in the ranks of the Red Star with 15 points and 5 assists, while James Feldeine added 12 points.

The victory secures the first place for CSKA that has one triumph more than the second-ranked Khimki, also from Russia.
