MINSK, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday supported the proposal to hold local elections on February 18, 2018.
While meeting with head of the Central Election Commission Lydia Yermoshina, Lukashenko supported the proposal put by the commission to hold elections to local councils of the 28th convocation on February 18, 2018, the president's press service said.
The president stressed that the government will create all conditions for holding the elections at a decent level.
"All levels of power will work in the direction in which the Central Election Commission will designate, as it always was," he said.
