AMMAN, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday said more coordinated efforts were needed to deal with the threat imposed by the Islamic State (IS) and the militant group of Boko Haram, state-run Petra news agency reported.

The King made the remarks at a meeting with President of Guinea Alpha Conde in Amman, where he said the IS and Boko Haram are global problems.

"We all have to work together to face their dangers on the region and on the youth," said the King.

The two leaders also looked into bilateral ties and regional developments, stressing that Jordan and Guinea see eye to eye on various issues.

They said the potential was huge for increased cooperation in areas of security, military and economy.

Conde voiced keenness on increased cooperation with Jordan in various areas and said he was impressed with the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center.

The African president said he discussed with Jordanian business people the opportunities available for cooperation, calling for the opening of an embassy in Guinea that will help boost ties at all levels.

Plans were underway for a joint Jordanian-Guinean business forum, he added.

Discussions also focused on increased Arab-African cooperation in various areas.
