KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist bombing of an oil pipeline in Bahrain, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
"Kuwait rejects this terrorist act which aimed at undermining security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as terrorizing civilians," KUNA quoted a foreign ministry source as saying.
The bombing of the oil pipeline would only increase the determination of Bahrain to confront whoever wanted to undermine its security and stability, he said.
Noting that Kuwait, which rejects all forms of violence and terrorism, supported measures taken by Bahrain to preserve its security and stability, the source called on the international community to double efforts to address terrorism and free the world from this menace.
An oil pipe exploded in Buri village in Bahrain on Friday night. Bahrain's Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid Al Khalifa confirmed on Saturday that it was an act of vandalism and a serious terrorist crime meant to jeopardise the nation's interests and people's safety.
