ZAGREB, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The total sum of Croatia's troubled retailer Agrokor's debt is 57.7 billion kuna (8.8 billion U.S. dollars), state-appointed management of the company announced on Thursday here.
It states that the new management recognizes 41.23 billion kuna in debt to creditors and suppliers, while 16.54 billion kuna is disputed.
Agrokor is the biggest private company in Croatia that was hit by a debt crisis. The state-appointed management is trying to revive the company after financial analysis revealed murky dealings and hidden debts. (1 U.S. dollar = 6.49 Croatian kunas)
