Dollar falls to mid-113 yen zone on plummeting Nikkei

TOKYO, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar inched down to the mid-113 yen zone Thursday in Tokyo on the sudden plummeting of the Nikkei stock index as well as uncertainties over the U.S. tax reforms.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 113.51-53 yen compared with 113.82-92 yen in New York and 113.82-83 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. It moved between 113.45 yen and 114.07 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1605-1606 dollars and 131.73-77 yen against 1.1590-1600 dollars and 131.99-132.09 yen in New York and 1.1594-1596 dollars and 131.97-132.01 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
