China's CPI up 1.9 pct in October

BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.9 percent year on year in October, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.

The pace accelerated from September's 1.6 percent. On a monthly basis, the index was up 0.1 percent, according to the bureau.
