ISTANBUL, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The United States and China should develop a new type of major-country relationship for the benefit of the world, a Turkish analyst told Xinhua in a recent interview.

"The United States and China are central actors determining current political and economic stability and order in the world," said Kadir Temiz, a research assistant with Bogazici University in Istanbul. "Any setback to this centrality, such as various kinds of instabilities around the world, could cause serious crisis both in global economic and political order."

"Thus, both countries should develop new big power relations in the coming years," he said. "The Middle East, for example, could benefit from this constructive relationship amid serious political, economic and security problems."

In his view, U.S. President Donald Trump's state visit to China from Wednesday to Friday "would probably provide new opportunities amid crucial disagreements between the two countries."
