AMMAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- More than 3,000 experts and policymakers will meet in Jordan on Tuesday to discuss the role of science in promoting peace and security, state-run Petra news agency reported on Monday.
Over 190 guests will speak at the 2017 World Science Forum to look into the ways in which science contributes to a future that promises greater equality, stability, security and opportunities.
The event will cover several issues including the universality of science, as well as connecting scientists with politicians and diplomats to achieve peace and sustainable development.
The forum aims to give a voice to scientists from Jordan and the Middle East, and to bring empowered science and scientific thinking to public and private spheres.
