TRIPOLI, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- State-owned Libyan Airlines has suspended flights to Sudan until further notice for technical reasons, the company said Monday.
"The company canceled all scheduled flights to Sudan until further notice due to technical problems related to flight schedule and the hours allocated for the company's aircraft in Khartoum International Airport," Libyan Airlines spokesman Mohamed Gnewa told Xinhua.
The company has informed all travelers who have previous bookings of the suspended flights, Gnewa said.
Libyan Airlines resumed flights to Sudan in November 2016 after a six-year suspension due to the deteriorating security situation in the country.
With the latest suspension, Libyan Airlines now only maintains regular international flights to Alexandria of Egypt, Amman of Jordan, Istanbul of Turkey, and Tunis of Tunisia.
