TRIPOLI, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- A Libyan security force of the UN-backed Government in Tripoli said on Saturday that they had arrested two Libyans over involvement in fueling conflicts in favor of a foreign country.
"The Special Deterrent Force managed to arrest two Libyans from the city of Sabratha for their involvement in fueling conflicts in favor of a foreign country in coordination with some military leaders in the area," the force said in a statement.
"The force is working on completing the investigation," the statement said.
No further details have been provided, however, the force said that the confessions of the two arrested individuals would be published soon.
The western city of Sabratha, some 70 km west of the capital Tripoli, has witnessed three weeks of violence that broke out in September between rival armed groups.
The conflict killed 40 people and injured 300 others, and forced thousands of people to flee their homes. Enditem
