MADRID, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday looked for the reasons for his side's poor run of form, but dismissed talk of crisis at the reigning Spanish and European Champions.

In declaration published in the Spanish press in the wake of Real Madrid's 3-1 defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League, which in turn came on the back of their shock defeat to newly promoted Girona, the striker insisted people should not "forget the good things that we have done."

"We can lose three or four games but there is never a crisis," he insisted, before looking for explanations for Madrid's below par start to the season in the current injuries suffered by Gareth Bale and Dani Carvajal and the sale of experienced players over the summer.

"The players who arrived this summer (Marcos Llorente, Theo Hernandez, Dani Caballos, Jesus Vallejo) have a lot of potential, but Pepe, Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez made us stronger," said Ronaldo

"It is not a weaker squad, but it has less experience and that is important," Ronaldo said, adding the club also needed "Carvajal and Bale back."

"Things are bad because we have lost and are used to winning," he continued, before showing his confidence that things would improve.

"This is just the beginning of the season, we still have a lot of time to improve," continued Ronaldo, who brushed away questions about coach Zinedine Zidane, saying the squad was "calm" and "standing by him."
