WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Ben Simmons had 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds and Joel Embiid had 22 points to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to an emphatic 115-107 victory against the Houston Rockets in the NBA actions on Monday.

The win at the Toyota Center marked the 76ers' first victory over the Rockets since Nov. 13, 2013. It was also their first win in Houston since Feb. 16, 2011. This also marked the first time they beat the Dallas Mavericks and Rockets on the same road trip since the 2000-2001 season.

The Rockets missed nine of their last 10 shots, scoring just four points in the final 3:28 and dropped consecutive games for the first time this season. James Harden scored 29 points and Eric Gordon had 25.

"You walk out of the building certainly not satisfied," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "I think the defense is what ended up getting us the win. We are always mindful of how can we execute well. We didn't do that night."

"Honestly, you truly leave greedy," the coach added. "We want more."

Simmons and Embiid provided enough while showing why they are regarded as one of the league's top young duos. They helped the 76ers avoid another disastrous fourth-quarter collapse.

"We tried to lock in as best as we could," Simmons said.
