TOKYO, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) --The U.S. dollar stayed in the upper 113 yen zone Monday in Tokyo as market players waited for the results of a policy meeting of the Bank of Japan and of the U.S. Federal Reserve, amid speculations on the U.S. President Donald Trump's choice of the new Fed chief.
At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 113.71-72 yen compared with 113.62-72 yen in New York and 114.10-11 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 113.53 yen and 113.83 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1619-1620 dollars and 132.12-16 yen against 1.1602-1612 dollars and 131.91-132.01 yen in New York and 1.1633-1634 dollars and 132.74-78 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
