NAIROBI, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Monday.

-- The electoral commission will on Monday announce results of the Oct. 26 fresh presidential election and also state whether it will hold the poll in 25 constituencies where it was postponed. The commission on Sunday evening said it had received results from six of the remaining seven constituencies and that by Monday morning all the results would be in.

The commission said verification and tallying of the received results was completed and it would also make an announcement on whether it will conduct elections in the 25 constituencies where election was postponed or not. (Daily Nation)

-- Opposition leader Raila Odinga has dismissed calls by his rivals in ruling Jubilee Party that he retires from politics, noting that he would only quit after ensuring there is justice and meaningful reforms in the country. Odinga said his transition from politics cannot be determined by his age. (The Standard).
