BERLIN, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Michael Gregoritsch's brace helped Augsburg to beat winless Werder Bremen 3-0, while Stuttgart overpowered ten-men Freiburg 3-0 at the closer of the 10th round of Bundesliga action on Saturday.

Werder Bremen are still waiting for their first victory in the Bundesliga season as Alexander Nouri's men extended their winless run to ten games after losing 3-0 to clinical Augsburg.

Augsburg took the reins from the start and tested Bremen goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenk through Alfred Finnbogason, whose effort on target was tipped around the post in the 7th minute.

Bremen needed 36 minutes to work out their first noteworthy chance of the game as Augsburg custodian Marwin Hitz had to fist away Max Kruse's shot on target.

However, Augsburg came closer as Daniel Baier rattled the woodwork from 16 meters before Michael Gregoritsch headed home the opener following a cross from Philipp Max at 40 minutes played.

To make things worse, Bremen had to swallow the 2-0 deficit as Alfred Finnbogason converted a foul play penalty from the spot before the break.

Werder Bremen never recovered from the two-goal blow whereas Augsburg kept it bowling to triple the lead through Gregoritsch, who finished off a counter attack to seal his brace and three points on the road in the 61st minute.

With the result, Augsburg climbed to 9th position in the standings, while winless Bremen continue on the next-to-last place.

Elsewhere, Stuttgart recorded their fourth win of the season after edging ten-men Freiburg 3-0.

Freiburg played into Stuttgart's hands early in the encounter as Caglar Soyuncu was sent off with a straight red card for an intentional handball with only 12 minutes played.

Stuttgart benefitted from their numerical advantage as Daniel Ginczek, Benjamin Pavard and Simon Terodde provided the goals for the uncontested 3-0 victory on home soil.

The victory moved the Swabians to 12th place, while Freiburg stay within striking distance of the drop zone after suffering their fourth loss of the season.
