Army leaders of UAE, France discuss defense cooperation

DUBAI, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Army leaders of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France on Sunday discussed cooperation in the defense and security aspects.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, received in Abu Dhabi Florence Parly, Minister of the Armed Forces of France, who is currently visiting the Gulf Arab state.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed discussed with Parly ways to enhance ties of co-operation and friendship between the two countries.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the French minister reviewed joint co-operation and co-ordination between the two sides in military and defence affairs, according to WAM.

They also exchanged views on the overall issues of joint interest and the latest developments in the region, as well as the two countries' efforts to achieve "security, peace and stability in the region."
