HO CHI MINH CITY, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Thailand beat Malaysia 6-3 here on Saturday, topping Group B and securing a berth to semifinals of the 2017 AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Futsal Championship.
Also on Saturday, Vietnam defeated Indonesia 4-3, Myanmar whitewashed the Philippines 25-0, and Laos downed Timor Lester 6-4.
Vietnam, which is forecast to have a lopsided victory over Brunei on Sunday, is poised to top Group A.
The 2017 AFF Futsal Championship is running from Oct. 26 to Nov. 3. Its winner and runner-up will become Southeast Asia's representatives to compete in the Asian Futsal Championship in Chinese Taipei in February 2018.
