DOHA, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The third "Made in China" exhibition will be held in Doha on November 16 to 19, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported Thursday.

More than 100 Chinese companies are expected to join this year's exhibition, which is to be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, the QNA report said.

The Chinese companies are keen on displaying their products and latest innovations for Qatari investors, Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani was quoted as saying.

Al-Thani said that the expo was highly acclaimed in its first and second editions, during which many contracts and joint ventures were signed between Qatari and Chinese companies.

He said that Qatar Chamber is ready to offer "all possible aid" to attract more investment to Qatar to boost its economic development.

The four-day expo aims to enhance cooperation between Qatari and Chinese businesses, take advantage of Chinese expertise in the industry, and create a platform for reaching trade deals between both countries.

Al-Thani noted that the annual trade between China and Qatar has increased to 5.42 billion U.S. dollars. He expected it to continue to grow with the launch of a direct marine route linking Hamad Port to some Chinese ports.

Qatar Chamber, established in 1963, is one of the oldest chambers of commerce in the Gulf area. It supports Qatar's economic development through creating a sustainable business environment for businesses, enhancing Qatar's economic diversity, and attracting foreign investment.
