LUANDA, Angola, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The National Bank of Angola (BNA) is taking part in the two-day summit of the central banks of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (CPLP) that opened in Lisbon Monday to discuss ways to boost multilateral cooperation.
The 27th Lisbon summit aims to strengthen cooperation between the Bank of Portugal and the central banks of other CPLP countries.
The meeting also discussed issues related to the international financial system and financial integration in Portuguese-speaking countries.
The summit was a preparatory gathering for the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, taking place from Oct. 9-15 in Washington, the United States.
The Angolan delegation was headed by BNA Deputy Governor Suzana Camacho Monteiro.
The CPLP, created in 1996, has nine member states: Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, and Timor-Leste.
