CPC discipline watchdog holds key plenum, approves work report

BEIJING, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held its Eighth Plenary Session on Monday.

The meeting discussed and approved a work report to be submitted by the CCDI to the 19th CPC National Congress, scheduled to open on Oct. 18.

The report will also be submitted to the Seventh Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, which will be held on Oct. 11, for discussion.

Wang Qishan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of CCDI, addressed the meeting.
