RABAT, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan government and the United Nations Industrial and Development Organization (UNIDO) hailed here on Tuesday the level of bilateral cooperation.

Cooperation between Morocco and UNIDO "is one of the most fruitful in the region," the director general of UNIDO Li Yong told the press following meeting with the Minister of Industry Commerce and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy.

The UN official hailed the tremendous work done by Morocco to boost its industry.

For his part, Elalamy expressed Morocco's satisfaction with the outcome of the bilateral cooperation, adding that the meeting was an opportunity to discuss means to further strengthen cooperation.

He highlighted the importance Morocco gives to industrial development as main driver of growth in the country.
