MOSCOW, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday called for reaching a compromise in the settlement of the Korean Peninsula issue.
"All parties should show restraint and seek methods and solutions," Putin said at a ceremony to accept the diplomatic credentials of new foreign ambassadors.
"We condemn the steps of Pyongyang in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. But the fueling of military rhetoric is not just a dead-end but certainly a ruinous path," he said.
According to Putin, all conflicts should be resolved by taking into account many factors, which sometimes are extremely sensitive, and searching for compromises.
