CAIRO, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday strongly condemned a terrorist attack in Bahrain's capital Manama.
"Egypt voices solidarity with the Bahraini government and people, reaffirming that Cairo stands beside Manama in facing all types of violence and terrorism," the ministry said in a statement.
In the statement, Egypt also expressed confidence about the Bahraini government's ability to confront heinous terrorist operations which only aim to destabilize countries and intimidate people.
On Monday night, a blast took place during a Shiite procession commemorating Ashura day in Manama, injuring five policemen.
