JAKARTA, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Tuesday condemned the recent shooting in Las Vegas, the United States, branding it as an act of terror.
"We condemn such a terror act in Las Vegas which takes so many lives," the president said on the sidelines of a session to declare a national action plan to tackle illegal drugs and drugs abuse.
"I have received reports that no Indonesian was affected by the shooting," said the president.
At least 59 people were killed and over 520 others injured in the brutal shooting during a country music festival held in Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay hotel and resorts on Sunday night.
