BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's manufacturing sector continued to expand in September, suggesting strong economic resilience against headwinds, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Saturday.
The country's manufacturing purchasing managers' index came in at 52.4, up from 51.7 in August and hitting the highest level since May 2012, according to NBS data.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
