LUSAKA, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Zambia's year-on-year inflation came in at 6.6 percent in September, up from 6.3 percent in August, its statistics agency said on Thursday.

The Central Statistical Office said the increase in the annual inflation rate was mainly attributed to price increases in electricity tariffs.

Month-on-month inflation rose by 0.3 percent after rising 0.1 percent the previous month, it added. Enditem
