BERLIN, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- German manufacturers' expectations in export growth rose slightly by 0.5 point in September, research group Ifo institute reported Wednesday.
The outlook value increased from 18.2 balance points in August to 18.7 balance points in September, the Munich-based think tank said.
According to the report, export expectations improved in nearly all of the key branches of German manufacturing except car manufacturing.
"The strong euro failed to dampen exporters' spirits. The Eurozone remains the key driver of German exports," Ifo president Clemens Fuest commented.
The Ifo Export Expectations are based on around 2,700 monthly reports from manufacturers, who are asked to report their export expectations for the next three months.
