LONDON, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.38 percent, or 27.77 points, to close at 7,313.51 points.
Pearson, a multinational publishing and education company, soared 3.86 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Lloyds Banking Group increased by 3.44 percent and 3.40 percent, respectively.
