PARIS, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.25 percent, or 13.20 points, to close at 5,281.96 points.
A total of 22 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
French industrial group Bouygues advanced 2.87 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMicroelectronics gained 2.53 percent. French banking CREDIT AGRICOLE rose 2.24 percent.
French cosmetics company L'OREAL edged down 1.68 percent,the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational automotive supplier VALEO went down by 1.22 percent, French multinational food-products corporation DANONE lost 1.07 percent. Enditem
