YANGON, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- China made it two wins from two as they dominated the Philippines 2-0 in the AFC U-16 Championship qualification here on Wednesday.
Zhang Xingliang put China in charge at half-time, and the substitute Pan Yusheng sealed the matters after the break. China tie South Korea who crashed Myanmar 4-0 on 6 points, while sitting second due to inferior goal difference.
Teams were divided into 10 groups in the qualification. The winner of each group and the best five second-placed finishers will qualify for the final stage of AFC U-16 Championship to be held in Malaysia. And the hosts Malaysia qualify automatically.
China will take on South Korea in the last round on Sept. 29, and one point will secure China a spot in the final stage of the Championship.
