FRANKFURT, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 2.46 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 12,594.81 points.
German pharmaceutical company Merck won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.12 percent. Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer rose by 1.41 percent and 1.26 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 5.61 percent. Deutsche Bank and German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies went down by 2.10 percent and 1.79 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most-traded share with a turnover of 199.69 million euros (236.97 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
