WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George said on Sunday that with Carmelo Anthony about to join the OCT, the Thunder now feels like a championship team.

"This feels like a championship team," George said. "I'm in a good place. I know Russell Westbrook is in a good place. Carmelo is more motivated than ever. You put all three of us together, who all have something to prove still, we're going to be a special team."

The New York Knicks and Thunder agreed on Saturday to a trade that will send 10-time All-Star forward Anthony to the Thunder.

The deal will pair the 33-year-old Anthony with last season's MVP Westbrook and four-time All-Star George, acquired by the Thunder in July, giving the team an powerful offensive trio that will pose a real threat to the defending champion Golden State Warriors. The Big Three were all among last season's top scorers with a combined average 77.7 points per game.

"We have a young group, a lot of talent here, an unbelievable coach, a front office that's willing to do whatever it takes to improve the team. It just has all the makeups to be a great organization and a chance to put championships together," he added.

Anthony's deal will reportedly be finalized on Monday.
