MADRID, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.05 percent, or 4.9 points, to close at 10,297 points.
A total of 14 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.
Spain's third largest bank Caixabank advanced 2.24 percent, being the top gainer of the day. It was followed by Spain's fourth largest bank BBVA and Spain's largest bank Banco Santander that rose 1.71 percent and 1.19 percent respectively.
Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal went down 2.86 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa lost 2.43 percent and consultancy and technology company Indra A went down 1.92 percent. Enditem
