YANGON, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Three people have been killed with two others injured as a 12-wheeled truck crashed into two other vehicles on Asian Highway in Myanmar's southeastern Kayin state, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Thursday.

The accident took place near Nat Sin curve on the Asian Highway between Myawaddy and Kawkareik on Tuesday at about 11 a.m. local time due to failure of brake system.

The 12-wheeled truck and one of the two other vehicles crashed into a ravine to a depth of 6 meters.

Meanwhile, another 12-wheeled truck also overturned at the same place on the same night due to losing brake control, according to local police.
