BANGKOK, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Wednesday ordered the setting up of the Office of National Research and Innovation.
The office is scheduled to be set up in three months while research and innovation specialists from private, public and academic sectors will be named advisers to the office, according to the Thai premier.
During a meeting of the Policy Council for National Research and Innovation at Government House on Wednesday, Prayut was quoted as saying that the office will not only be assigned to do research and innovation but also to develop and upgrade human resources so that they will be able to keep the country moving forward.
He said research and innovation projects will be put to work and solve problems such as water management and lowering prices of farm goods.
