Dollar trades in mid-111 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, largely unchanged from its levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.59-60 yen compared with 111.55-65 yen in New York and 111.70-71 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1992-1993 dollars and 133.83-87 yen against 1.1989-1999 dollars and 133.81-91 yen in New York and 1.1993-1995 dollars and 133.96-134.00 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
