ATHENS, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- The trial of the Greek ultra-right Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) party for the murder of anti-fascist activist and musician Pavlos Fyssas four years ago concerns the entire Greek society, the victim's mother Magda Fyssa said in a statement released by the family on Monday.

"The trial is not about us or the other victims of Golden Dawn... Our goal is to make clear that there is no other option but the complete condemnation of fascists," read the statement issued shortly before a protest march and concert marking the fourth anniversary since the murder of Fyssas by GD supporter Yorgos Roupakias.

Magda Fyssa was among the demonstrators demanding justice "without further delays and foot-dragging" on Monday.

The peaceful march started from the site where the killing took place outside a cafeteria at the Piraeus suburb of Keratsini-Drapetsona and ended near the port where the concert was staged.

Fyssas' death was the first politically motivated crime committed by a GD supporter since the party's entrance in parliament for first time in 2012, riding on the wave of discontent over austerity.

It had sent shockwaves across the country and triggered a judicial crackdown on Golden Dawn.

Four years later, the trial of the party's leadership on charges of establishing and running a criminal organization, along Roupakias, is still continuing.

All defendants, including Roupakias, have been released from custody, while GD is still the third larger party inside the parliament.

"Such events to commemorate Pavlos Fyssas must become the loud response of a society which does not forget and has no fear of fascism," the mayor of Keratsini-Drapetsona Christos Vrettakos said in a message for the day.
