FRANKFURT, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 40.58 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 12,559.39 points.
German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.87 percent. Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group and chemical group BASF rose by 1.43 percent and 1.36 percent respectively.
Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.98 percent. Housing association Vonovia and financial services provider Commerzbank went down by 0.95 percent and 0.75 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 169.95 million euros (203.05 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
