ISTANBUL, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Turkish national women's volleyball team coach Giovanni Guidetti praised Team China as the champion favorite of volleyball tournaments for years.
During an interview with Xinhua on Friday, the 45-year-old said China would be one of the best volleyball teams with lots of good players, citing China's team captain Zhu Ting as the best attacker in the world.
"There is no question that no player has the attack ability as Zhu. From every position, she can attack quick and strong, she has an incrediable technique of attack. And day by day she has become a great saver," said Guidetti.
Zhu, newly appointed as team captain, led the Chinese team to clinch the Women's World Grand Champions Cup this month in Japan.
"Zhu shows she can be a great leader in Vakifbank and China. If she is not sick, she will keep to take MVP in the next 5, 6 or 8 years," Guidetti added.
The Italian, also head coach of Turkish volleyball club Vakifbank, thought it's very lucky to have Zhu Ting to play for Vakifbank, hoping to take all the trophies of tournaments they attend next season.
The Turkish national women's team has been preparing for the upcoming 2017 European Championships, which will begin on Sept. 22 in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
