CAIRO, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed the stance of the four Arab countries that cut ties with Qatar until Doha stops supporting terrorism, the ministry said in statement on Friday.
"The Arab quartet is committed to its stance toward Doha, till it stops support for terrorist groups that caused shaking stability and security in the region," Shoukry said in his talks Thursday with U.K. Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on the sidelines of their participation in a six-party meeting on Libya, hosted by London.
"The four Arab nations are open to dialogue with Qatar when it sticks to implementing the 13 demands," Shoukry added.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and trade links with Qatar on June 5, suspending air and shipping routes with the world's biggest exporter of liquefied natural gas, over allegations Qatar funds extremists and has good ties with Iran, foe of Saudi.
The charges have been always denied by the Qatar's leaders, while rejecting a list of 13 demands put forward by the bloc for resuming diplomatic ties.
Kuwait has been trying to mediate the dispute.
But the Arab powers accused Qatar of putting preconditions on negotiations which showed a lack of seriousness in resolving the dispute.
