TEHRAN, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will attend the UN General Assembly meeting in New York next week, Tasnim news agency reported Wednesday.
During his trip, Rouhani will deliver a speech at the UN General Assembly, said Mahmoud Vaezi, the Iranian president's chief of staff.
He will also meet with Iranian expatriates living in the United States, as well as a number of world political officials, Vaezi added.
The 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly opened Tuesday, while the General Debate will start next Tuesday, taking "Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet" as its theme.
