FRANKFURT, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 171.26 points, or 1.39 percent, to close at 12,475.24 points.
German reinsurance company Munich Re won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.03 percent. Global banking and financial services company Deutsche Bank and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens rose by 2.63 percent and 2.41 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the only loser among the blue chips, by falling 0.12 percent.
Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 358.18 million euros (429.70 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
