RAMALLAH, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Secretary General of Palestinian Liberation Organization(PLO), Saeb Erekat, called on Wednesday the United Nation Council to uncover the list of global companies "involved with Israeli occupation and settlement project."

Any attempt to prevent publishing the list "is still immoral and involved in the systematic denial of our Palestinian people's rights," Erekat said in similar letters sent to diplomatic representatives in Palestinian territories.

The PLO official renewed the Palestinian demands to ban Israeli settlement products.

Few days ago, American newspapers of Washington Post reported that United Nations headquarters witness wide arguments between western effort to prevent issuing the black list scheduled at the end of this year, and an Arab diplomatic effort to enact issuing the list.

The newspapers revealed pressures being exerted by U.S. administration on United Nations to prevent uncovering the black list of companies dealing with Israeli settlements products.

The UN human rights council had ratified last year a decision to establish a database for these global companies amid apposition of U.S. administration and Israel, who considered such decision as punitive measures to boycott Israel.

Israeli settlement is the thorniest file of conflict between the Palestinians and Israel in light of the cessation of peace negotiations between them since the end of March 2014 after nine months of talks sponsored by the United States without progress.

Erakat urged the international community to "take concrete and practical measures to deter Israeli violations of the Palestinian rights."
