HELSINKI, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The second suspect still detained following the Turku stabbings has been found to have used a false name and age, the Southwestern Finland regional court said on Wednesday.
The court confirmed him as Monsif Bakir, aged 21. Previously, newspaper Turun Sanomat reported that his initial name in Finland was Mohammed Bakier.
Meanwhile, the police continued analyzing a manifest written by Abderrahman Bouanane, the main suspect for the knife attack, which had been compiled and distributed before he allegedly mounted the violent actions on August 18 in Turku. The police tried to establish what the detainee had wanted to say and how the texts related to contemporary life.
The attack left two Finnish women dead and eight others wounded. The police charged Bouanane with two murders related with terrorist motives and Bakir with supporting the murders. The main suspect admitted his actions but denied murders.
