TIANJIN, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- The 13th Chinese National Games Beijing's Gao Chang set a world record equalling result of 594 points in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions qualifier here on Tuesday.
It is a new national record from the 22-year-old Gao who got 197 points after the kneeling position, 497 points at the end of the prone ones, finishing 594 points with the standing phase.
Croatian Snjezana Pejcic set the world record of 594 in women's 50m rifle 3 positions qualifier at ISSF World Cup stage in Rio de Janeiro on April 22, 2016. The event's Chinese national record was 593 points.
Gao who took up shooting at the age of 14, nailed the gold medal in women's 50m rifle 3 positions in Nanchang of Jiangxi province at 2016 Chinese National Shooting Championships.
