TIANJIN, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese volleyball league title holders Jiangsu swept Shanghai 3-0 Monday evening for their first women's volleyball gold medal at the Chinese National Games.

Olympic champions Hui Ruoqi, Zhang Changning and Gong Xiangyu led teammates to the 25-20, 25-19 and 25-18 victory for Jiangsu, who were crowned here in Tianjin with an amazing 6-0 record.

"I think quite a few teams have the ability to win the title. The gold medal went to us because we had good mentality and played to our standard," said Hui Ruoqi. "We are a great team, we trust each other. I think we can be an even better team."

Jiangsu coach Cai Bin felt relaxed after the well-earned triumph.

"I am not very excited. I just feel relaxed," he said. "I want to try my best to help young players improve as much as possible. This time we did a good job and I think we can be better."

In the bronze medal match, Beijing beat Liaoning 3-0.
